Kumamoto Ramen, Downtown Montreal
Stepping into Kumamoto Ramen is an experience. The Japanese-style booths, décor, and authenticity of Kumamoto Ramen offer authentic Japanese ramen, ( (ラーメン屋) ) delicate side dishes, and great service. Located close to Guy Concordia metro, downtown Montreal is at 1812 Saint-Catherine St. W. Visit, comment, and tell me about your experience.
What stood out for me at Kumamoto Ramen were the individual booths. It was great to "eat alone" without any interruptions. The menu displayed an array of appetizers, main dishes, and Japanese drinks. Take a look at what I ordered below
Edamame (1) for $4.99 and a sapporo
Tonkotsuų rouge / Red Tonkotsu $16.49
Pork broth, pork chashu, bean sprouts, black mushroom, green onion, half-marinated egg, and spicy miso.
I enjoyed the red tonkatsu ramen dish. The broth was amazing, the pork was tasty, and the egg was perfectly cooked. I did not add too much of the spicy miso, as it would have overpowered the dish and lost the original taste.
I will go back again, as I want to explore more of their menu. During this visit, I played it safe and ordered the classics. Next time, I am looking forward to more, especially the Konnkorokke.
