Patisserie Bao Bao Dim Sum, Chinatown Montreal

When you dream of eating savory Chinese buns and dim sum, Patisserie Bao Bao Dim Sum should be at the top of your list. They are located at 83 Rue De la Gauchetière O in Montreal's Chinatown.

Patisserie Bao Bao Dim Sum also serves delicious bubble tea, congee, BBQ pork buns, and their biggest seller, their decorative Chinese buns. Once you visit this bakery, you will also notice Patisserie Harmonie in the same building. They are the same company and sell cakes, mochi, durian desserts, and baked goods. See my visit below and comment on your favorite Bao Bao Dim Sum.

Usually, when I visit Patisserie Bao Bao, the Chinese buns and dim sum are my go-to. I always order a few and enjoy them on the ride home. I switched it up during my last trip and tried their General Tao Chicken for the first time.

The General Tao chicken cost less than $12 and came with rice, bok choy, and tea egg. The packaging was nice, and it stayed warm until I reached home. Honestly, I did not have high expectations, as this dish is usually hit or miss. The dish was good and a solid 7/10; it was not greasy, and the sauce ratio was just right. It was not the best General Tao I have had, but I recommend it.
