Historic, breathtaking and one of a kind!

1. Jardin Nelson

407 Pl. Jacques-Cartier, Montréal

Located in Montreal’s Old Port, Jardin Nelson is one of a kind. This restaurant is only open from spring to fall and won’t reopen until 2024. Jardin Nelson provides you with a full night of food and fun. Not only is their food memorable, but their live band is as well. Located at 407 Pl. Jacques-Cartier, Montréal, Jardin Nelson is one of my go-to summer spots.

Jardin Nelson has a great menu. I have tried a few dishes, and so far, my favorite is the fresh salmon lasagna au gratin. This dish is made with three different types of cheese, fresh Atlantic salmon, and spinach.

Vieux-Port Steakhouse is a perfect destination for all you steak and wine lovers; if you are not, then there are plenty of other options on the menu. A new dish that I tried and loved was the grilled salmon filet. This dish is a 10/10.

3. The Keg Steakhouse + Bar

25 Rue Saint-Paul E, Montréal, QC H2Y 1G2

The Keg is a classic steakhouse and bar with a unique and tasty menu. Not only is their food great, but the atmosphere is as well. Located in the heart of downtown Montreal, they are a must-try. The Keg has two locations, one in the heart of the touristic Old Port and the other in Place Ville Marie. Take a look at the Old Ports location, food, and decor.

This Kegs baked brie is accompanied by red pepper jelly, basil pesto, and crostinis. This is an appetizer that you must try once. The brie arrives nice and hot and complements the red pepper jelly well. I have ordered this dish a few times, and I love it.

4. Bevo Bar + Pizzeria

410 R. Saint-Vincent, Montréal, QC H2Y 3A5

.Bevo Bar + Pizzeria is an authentic Italian restaurant in the heart of Old Port Montreal. Bevo serves great cocktails, delicious pasta, and amazing desserts. Their pizzas are top-notch and are cooked in an authentic wood-burning oven using fresh ingredients.

The menu was straightforward, and ordering was easy. I settled on the Rosata con Ricotta e Funghi. The food arrived in a timely manner, and the portion of pasta was healthy. This dish was solid 7/10; the sauce was nice and thick, and the prosciutto tasted great.
