Onigiri Shop Marché Jean-Talon Montreal
If you know me, then you know that I love the Onigiri Shop. They now have six locations around Montreal and are still going strong. I recently visited the newest location at 155 Rue Jean-Talon E, and let me say that the vibes are there.
Over the past year, I have visited them over a dozen times and simply can't get enough. The onigiris are very affordable, and I really love the service. They opened their first store over a year ago at 5600 Monkland Ave., Montreal, and since then they have been a household name in Montreal.
During my visit to the new location, the staff was super friendly, and my order was super delicious. The Onigiri Shop has also updated their menu to include combo options that are available at all locations. Refer to my latest visit to the newest location and comment down below.

“New combo options, delicious onigiri, and unique Japanese desserts”
Onigiri Shop montreal
The Onigiri Shop has added new combos and onigiris to their menu. The starting price is now $4.99, and the combos start at $12.99. During my visit, I tried combo no. 1, which came with an onigiri, soup, and drink.
The onigiri I chose was number 10 (Japanese soy-cured egg yolk ) off the classic menu. Although it was not my favourite, I did enjoy it; the soft texture of the yolk tasted great with the soup. I found the price to be a little high, but with 6 locations, prices are inevitably going to go up and match with the market.

The Onigiri Shop has an assortment of delicious fillings to choose from. Some of my favourites are Korean fried chicken, salmon, avocado, vege-mix, and cured egg yolk. You can also find tea, dessert, and drinks.

Onigiri Shop Marché Jean-Talon Montreal
This new location is very similar to the location on Monkland Ave. A new menu is now available; the cost of the classic and fusion menus has increased by $1.
The new combo options are at all six locations and are perfect for 1 to 2 people. The loyalty cards are only for the combo options. (Confirm at the register.)
To end my review, I hope that the Onigiri Shop continues with the same quality and standards. So far, the size and taste of the onigiris remain the same. I have always had amazing service and been a satisfied customer. Comment down below your favourite onigiri and check back soon for their 7th location.
