Pigeon Café-Monkland Ave Montreal
Pigeon Café is at the top of my list to visit for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The menu is simply amazing and diverse. The spacious outdoor patio is very attractive and great during the summertime.
One of the most popular dishes at Pigeon Café is the halloumi and labneh shakshuka. This dish was interesting. It was not 100% the taste that I expected, but I liked it. The pinenuts, roasted red pepper, and halloumi really stood out for me. A solid 7/10 for me.
Halloumi and labneh shakshuka
Eggs, roasted red pepper, tahini, mint, pomegranate, pine nuts, labneh, and grilled halloumi
The menu at Pigeon Cafe is very versatile. There are many dishes that I have not seen or tried before. My go-to drink has always been a vanilla latte. I must say that the latte at Pigeon Cafe is a great one. Not too sweet, just perfect. One of my favorite items is their blueberry pancakes. They were nice and fluffy on the inside and a little crisp on the outside.
TWO EGGS, ANY STYLE
scrambled, fried, or poached, breakfast potatoes, choice of bacon, beef salami, or avocado, and choice of bread with jam
Final review
I will definitely dine at Pigeon Cafe again to explore more of the menu. The dining experience, food, and staff are a solid 7.5/10. Pigeon Cafe also has an alternate location in the heart of downtown Montreal at 1392 MAISONNEUVE WEST. This location features a beautiful outdoor patio and a simpler menu.
