Tommy Café Old Port Montreal

Tommy Café Old Port Montreal

This opulently quaint bi-level coffee shop with historical architecture serves sweets and sandwiches.

With summer around the corner, Montrealers are always on the hunt for the trendiest cafes to try the best lattes, smoothies, and desserts. Today I visited Tommy Cafe for the first time and fell in love!

Tommy Cafe has several locations in downtown Montreal, and all are unique in their own way. Today's visit took me to 200 Notre Dame St. W., Montreal, in the British Empire Building. This location is easily accessible in Old Port Montreal and is less than a ten-minute walk from Metro Place-D'armes.

Tommy Cafe is well known for its tasty croissants, avocado toast, and unique lattes. Check out my visit below and tell me your favorite location at Tommy Cafe.

Decor & Menu

I loved the decor at Tommy Cafe. Walking in felt like entering a scene from "Sex and the City." This coffee shop has the prettiest hanging plants and seating arrangements. This location has two floors; customers have the option to sit on the main floor or the upper terrace.

Tommy Cafe also has a beautiful view of downtown; if you're lucky enough to grab a seat at the window, the view is stunning!

The menu at Tommy Cafe features light yet filling dishes; it is not the most in-depth menu that you will find, but there are tasty items available to order. They feature various items, such as avocado toast, spicy tuna sandwiches, almond croissants, and more. The items are a little pricey, in my opinion, but for the Old Port, these prices are to be expected.

What I ordered

Almond croissant, raspberry scone, and a regular latte.

I was told that Tommy Cafe had amazing pastries and lattes; my curiosity got the best of me, and I ended up ordering the almond croissant, raspberry scone, and a regular latte. I have had my fair share of lattes, and this one was up there with the best.

The almond croissant tasted extremely fresh, and the filling was amazing. The croissant had an extra crunch and went well with the latte. The raspberry scone was my least favorite item; it did not taste bad in any sense, but it also did not have any uniqueness to it.
