Must-Try Tampa Bay Restaurants

Must-Try Tampa Bay Restaurants

Check out some of Tampa Bay’s coziest restaurants. From churros to amazing pasta, you will find it all here.

Tampa is historically known for its culture, golf courses, museums, and restaurants. Located on the Florida Gulf Course, Tampa Bay is also home to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the historic Ybor City. On a recent trip, I was able to check out some of the restaurants that are well-known in town. Check out some of my favorites below, comment, and tell me yours.

TOAST Citrus Park

TOAST Citrus Park is a breakfast and brunch restaurant at 8552 Gunn Hwy., Odessa, FL. The menu was simple, and the prices were amazing. I ordered 2 eggs with French toast for $10.95 (USD).

The positive parts of my visit were the staff, pricing, and food. What is not included is any fruit or potatoes along with the dish. This can all be ordered for an additional cost. This restaurant also has a small patio for dining in the front for diners to enjoy. I give TOAST Citrus Park a solid 7/10 and will visit again.

Hiccups & Churroholic Tampa

Hiccups & Churroholic is located at 13030 N Dale Mabry Hwy. They are an Asian fusion restaurant. The menu offers noodles, churros, drinks, and various desserts. This location provides dining-in and has a beautiful patio with a small lake.

The menu looks basic, but it is honestly far from it. This is my first time visiting this restaurant, so having pictures to accompany the dish helped. To start, I ended up settling on the Hiccup Wings with garlic and parmesan sauce and a side of fries.

The fries were a solid 7/10. They were not homemade, but they passed the crunch test. The Parmesan garlic wings were the best that I have tried so far. They were nice and crispy, and the sauce was not overwhelming but well-balanced.

For my beverage, I ordered the pink flamingo. If I had to rate this drink, it would be a 10/10. This pink flamingo drink was the tastiest beverage that I have had so far this year. The strawberry and peach complemented each other well; it was not overwhelmingly sweet. The strawberry bits and jelly were the best part. I paid less than $7, and it was well worth it.

For dessert, I ordered the churro combo, which came with a scoop of ice cream. The cost was $8.95, which to me is a little steep as the portion was tiny. I enjoyed the dessert and will most likely try it again.

Carrabba’s Italian Grill

I had the pleasure of visiting Carrabbas Italian Grill in Tampa. This is a family-style restaurant that offers various pastas, steaks, chicken dishes, and desserts. This is a chain restaurant, so you can find a few locations in and around Tampa.

This restaurant can comfortably seat up to 150 people. They offer large booths and tables. We were a group of 12, so this was the perfect place to dine. The experience and food were a 7/10. I ordered the linguine Positano (crushed tomatoes, olive oil, garlic, and basil) for $14.79. The pricing was good but not great, as for plain pasta it was a little pricey.
