Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay
The Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay lives up to its name in so many ways. I recently stayed at this luxurious hotel and enjoyed each moment. Built in 1986, the Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay sits on 35 acres of land, showcasing on-site pools, tennis courts, an onsite restaurant, and a fitness center.
The Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay has over 440 rooms, starting from junior rooms up to their Bay View presidential suites. This historic hotel is only 5 minutes away from Tampa International Airport and is located at 2900 Bayport Dr. in Tampa, Florida, overlooking the bay area.
The exterior of this hotel is simply beautiful; driving up the long driveway allows you to see the space that this hotel sits on. Upon arrival, the staff will greet you at the door and show you to reception. Check-in was a breeze, and the hotel staff will also provide you with a map of the property so you can enjoy all of the amenities that are offered.
Restaurants and Dining
There are two restaurants at the Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay: one is 1823 Kitchen & Bar, and the second is Oystercatchers.
1823 Kitchen & Bar is the main restaurant at the Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay. This contemporary restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner on-site. Guests can order directly from this restaurant or have it delivered through room service. The best part of this restaurant, in my opinion, is breakfast. For a low cost of $22.95 (USD), you can enjoy a full spread of fruits, cheeses, baked goods, and more.

The breakfast buffet also features an omelet bar. You can choose your favorite ingredients, and a chef will prepare them right before you. I was very impressed by the cleanliness of this restaurant, and the staff was always on hand to help with your needs.
Oystercatchers offers a gorgeous view of Tampa Bay. This restaurant is perfect for any occasion. located in the Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay, they are a must-try.
I did not get to try this restaurant due to scheduling conflicts, but it is highly rated and a favorite among travelers and locals. Check out their menu below.

Pools, activities, and fun
Adjacent to the restaurant, Oystercatchers, you will find one of the pools located on the property. Not only is there a pool, but you will also find hammocks, firepits, jet skis, and paddle boards.
This location is perfect, as you get a gorgeous view of Tampa Bay. There is also a small boardwalk with seating available to enjoy the view.
NATURE WALK
This hotel has an amazing nature walk that is located on the property. The nature walk leads out to the bay, which has a beautiful view. I was able to see some of the birds and plants that are native to Florida. The hotel also showcases the various species of birds that can be spotted along the nature walk.

Final Review
I highly recommend the Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay. The check-in was a breeze, and the staff provided me with everything I needed to get familiar with the property and amenities.
This hotel had everything that I was looking for. The room was clean and spacious, and the hotel staff were all friendly. I loved the on-site restaurant and guest services.
A huge plus for this hotel is the nature walk and view of the bay. I love nature, so this was a perfect fit. My only regret is not being able to experience all of the on-site activities and restaurants. My final rating is a 9/10. This was one of the best hotels that I have stayed in, and I can't wait to book them again.
