Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in travel, style, and food. Hope you have a nice stay!

Hiccups & Churroholic Tampa

Hiccups & Churroholic Tampa

I recently travelled to Florida for a quick vacation and was able to check out some local restaurants in Tampa. This city is very diverse and offers a variety of cuisines for foodies to try. The first place I tried was Hiccups & Churroholic, which is an Asian fusion restaurant. The menu provides noodles, churros, drinks, and various desserts. This location offers dining and has a beautiful backyard patio with a small lake. Check out my take on this restaurant below, leave a comment, and share for more.

Ok, so let's talk about the menu. The menu looks basic, but it is honestly far from it. This is my first time visiting this restaurant, so having pictures to accompany the dish helped. To start I ended up settling on the Hiccup Wings with garlic and parmesan sauce and a side of fries.

The fries were a solid 7/10. They were not homemade, but they passed the crunch test. The Parmesan garlic wings were the best that I have tried so far. They were nice and crispy, and the sauce was not overwhelming but well-balanced.

Pink Flamingo

Strawberry-Peach Green Tea with strawberry bits and strawberry jelly, hand-shaken and served with ice

If I had to rate this drink, it would be a 10/10. This pink flamingo drink was the tastiest beverage that I have had so far this year. The strawberry and peach complemented each other well; it was not overwhelmingly sweet. The strawberry bits and jelly were the best part. I paid less than $7, and it was well worth it.

Dessert

For dessert, I ordered the churro combo, which came with a scoop of ice cream. The cost was $8.95, which to me is a little steep as the portion was tiny. I enjoyed the dessert and will most likely try it again.

Final Review

Hiccups and Churroholic is a little gem. I give them a solid 8/10. My rating will increase in the future once I try more of their dishes. I liked the food, loved the pink flamingo tea, and appreciated the outdoor patio. I cannot say anything bad about this restaurant, as there is nothing bad to say. The staff was super friendly, and ordering was a breeze.

Even though you can sit for dining, all items must be paid for beforehand at the register and will be brought to your table when ready.

If you are in Tampa or the surrounding area, check them out at 13030 N Dale Mabry Hwy., Tampa, FL.
