“An authentic North African restaurant that offers a variety of couscous recipes in the heart of Montreal’s “Quartier Latin.””
With summer right around the corner, now is the perfect time to plan your visit to Menthe Et Couscous. They offer a spacious outdoor patio and indoor seating. The decor and colors reflect the vibrant atmosphere and rich North African and Mediterranean history.
The menu offers a selection of appetizers, main dishes, and desserts. We were a group of four and got to sample some of the best items on their menu. For the appetizers, we got to try the Moussaka Dip and treat for two.
The portions were healthy, and everything tasted great. The treat for two was well-plated, and the ingredients were fresh. The moussaka came with freshly baked bread that was perfect for dipping. Both appetizers were a solid 8/10.
For dinner, I ordered the chicken skewers, which cost $37.50. The dish had two large chicken skewers, couscous, salad, and vegetables. The portion was generous, enough to feed two people. First, the smell was incredible. The chicken was cooked to perfection, and the couscous was delicious. This dish came with a savory sauce that complemented the chicken well.
Overall, my entree was a solid 10/10. The portion was enough for two people, and I loved it. I am big on flavor and aroma, and this dish hit the spot. Menthe Et Couscous perfected this dish, and I highly recommend it.
Dessert has always been my favorite menu item, and Menthe Et Couscous did not disappoint. We got to try a few different options, and the one that stuck out to me was the sweet cheese with cream. It was soft and delicious. The cream was fluffy, sweet, and not overwhelming; pairing it with the pistachio enhanced this dessert.
We ended dessert with fresh mint tea, served in traditional teaware. The other desserts served were Kunafa, Baklava, and Birouates with almonds and honey.

Menthe Et Couscus special menu
Menthe Et Couscous should be on your restaurant bucket list. The food, entertainment, and decor are all top-notch. This is one of my top restaurants in the city, and I highly recommend them.
The staff was friendly and made us feel welcome. This was my first time trying North African food, and I loved it. The flavors were unique, and the food was inspiring. I loved the decor and seating plan. Menthe Et Couscous is perfect for date night and large groups.
The belly dancing was superb and very engaging. Whether you visit alone or in a group, be prepared to spend between $50 and $120. As much as I loved this restaurant, it is a little pricey, but which restaurant in Montreal isn't? Check out their official website for the menu, hours, and location.
