The Keg Steakhouse + Bar Downtown Montreal
The Keg is a classic steakhouse and bar with a unique and tasty menu. Not only is their food great, but the atmosphere is as well. Located in the heart of downtown Montreal, they are a must-try.
The Keg has two locations, one in the heart of the touristic Old Port and the other in Place Ville Marie. Over the years, I have enjoyed and would recommend both locations. Today I visited the location in the Old Port and enjoyed the outdoor patio, view of the Old Port, and food. Check out my visit below and much more!
Red Wine Sangria, $9 (5 oz)
Havana Club, Beefeater, Cherry Brandy, Orange and Pineapple Juice, Fruit Medley
At only $9, this red wine sangria was worth it; the fruit juices complimented the brandy well, and the alcohol did not overpower the taste. I loved that it was topped with fresh oranges and strawberries.
Baked brie (currently not on the fall menu)
basil pesto, red pepper jelly, and crostini
This Kegs baked brie is accompanied by red pepper jelly, basil pesto, and crostinis. This is an appetizer that you must try once. The brie arrives nice and hot and complements the red pepper jelly well. I have ordered this dish a few times, and I love it.
Iceberg Wedge $13
Tomato, crispy smoked bacon, dill ranch, or blue cheese dressing
The serving for the iceberg wedge is 1/4 of a lettuce. It is served covered with your choice of dressing, sliced tomato, and bacon bits. The taste is very refreshing. If you’re looking for a light meal, this is a perfect option, as it is not too heavy.
